South London’s multi-instrumental producer Intalekt presents ‘See, King’ the first release from his forthcoming album ‘THE MASTA RETURNS.'
After gracing us with 'PASTURES' in December, Intalekt has lit an entirely new fire in 'See, King'
which is a double edged metaphor for the seeking of peace of mind, and the necessity of being able to see yourself, as your greatest self.
The MASTA (A metaphor for the artist's mind) had momentarily reached a point of enlightenment, but suddenly he finds he must set sail again for new adventures, fighting the never ending battle of life against spirit. The ingeniousness of this concept is that it allows us to extract necessary philosophical wisdoms in the form of a fantastic adventure - combining distinct sound design and atmospheres of ancient Southeast Asia, Beats and Jazz infused live instrumentation - composed and performed with the utmost taste and skill.
True to form, 'See, King' is as gentle as a breeze and as proud as a warrior - spiralling synths swirl amidst expertly arranged righteous horns and contemplative guitar - the drums glide and leap with each swoosh of the sword and we experience a true fusion of music and storyline that expresses without words, the first philosophical foray into this epic journey. I wait impatiently for the next chapter.
